Education & Experience
Dr. McLagan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University, where he majored in Hispanic and Latin American Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. His studies helped him become fluent in Spanish, a skill he continues to use to help Chattanooga families.
Next, Dr. McLagan pursued his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Kentucky. He then completed an intensive orthodontic residency at Augusta University, earning a Certificate of Orthodontics in December 2023.

Dr. McLagan is proud to be a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. He continues engaging in professional development and collaborative learning to help you get the absolute best care possible.
As the founder of Teach Teeth, an initiative he launched during his time at Pepperdine University, Dr. McLagan has worked to educate underserved Hispanic communities about the importance of oral hygiene. Teach Teeth hosts educational presentations in English and Spanish.
